WHO WE ARE

OMDC is a non-profit NGO. We are a charitable organization that specializes in the education and empowerment of less-privileged children, youth and women through working with them at an individual level. Our nationally-recognized programmes include schools, remedial education, computer training, adult literacy, skills training, Plantation, Environment Awareness, microfinance and social entrepreneurship.

OMDC is a professionally managed committed NGO active in community capacity building and issue based networking. The primary focus of OMDC is on the problems of the poor in their struggle to obtain a life of justice and dignity. Environment stabilization, food security and empowerment of the community for self-governance are the most important components of its mission. Gender justice, natural resource management, and livelihood security are our primary areas of concern.

Organization for Management & development Centre (OMDC) was organized in the year 2014-15 with an objective to develop the Socio economic Status of the Down trodden living in the rural areas. Initially it was performed with the support of Rahber Foundation. During this year this organization started its activities in the following sectors:-

Vocational Training Center,Brick field School,Note Book Distribution,Health Check-up Camp,Health Awareness Programme,Eye Protection Camp,Blood Donation Camp, Plantation,Environment Awareness Programme,Road Safety Awareness Programme,Education Awareness,Orphan Girls Marriage,Blanket Distribution, Water Distribution,Medical Finance Support,Student Scholarship, Certificate Distribution,Food Distribution For Poor People, Motivation for game and sports,Susach Abhi Jaan,Saree Distribution

Missions

OUR OBJECTIVE

To promote development work by providing technical assistance, managerial skill, access to financial services to the people un-reached by the formal financial system, for livelihood opportunity enhancement and poverty eradication; to undertake different activities for rural and urban slum development to improve the socio- economic life of the poor and downtrodden; to provide assistance to individuals, institutions, corporate body, public or local authorities for rural development and employment generation activities.

Our Governance Philosophy is based on a set of laws, rules and regulations and good practices that enables the organisation to perform efficiently and ethically and create value for all its stakeholders.

The organisation is committed to the belief that the adoption of the best governance practices will take us a long way ahead.

Local Governance
Our local governance programs focus on increasing the participation and inclusion of the urban poor in the governance of the development processes for their community.

We achieve this through;

  • Community mobilization, sensitization and training

  • Facilitating the preparation of community development plans

  • Coaching and mentoring of community leaders in proposal writing, fundraising and project management

  • Facilitating the engagement between local government authorities and community members
