2021 - Vocational Training Center, Pipili Block of Puri District

To empower women from economically weaker sections, OMDC established a Vocational Training Center in Danagohir, located in the Pipili Block of Puri District. This initiative aims to equip women with essential skills to improve their livelihood and achieve financial independence.

Program Details

During the year, 48 trainees received hands-on training in Tailoring, Fashion Designing, and Embroidery. The participants were primarily women from underprivileged rural communities across various villages in the Pipili Block. The program has enabled these women to become self-reliant and support their families through the skills acquired during the training.

Facilities Provided to Trainees

• Free Enrollment: The course fee was

• entirely waived to ensure accessibility for all participants.

• Free Training Materials: All necessary training materials were provided at no cost, further reducing financial barriers for the trainees.

This initiative has significantly contributed to the empowerment of rural women, fostering their confidence and enabling them to lead a more sustainable and dignified life.
